From classroom to Career Workshop
What do students need when they’re moving from college to their career path? Undergraduate students found out. It started with discovering or confirming insights about their personality and tendencies. the process began with reviewing results from the Enneagram assessment tool. Knowing your personality type is essential for understanding certain behaviors you have, allowing you to thrive to the best of your ability in the workplace. During the workshop, students analyzed their results and we discussed as a group as they used the skills and attributes described in their results to form confident statements to use in interviews.
The results from the participant workshop form revealed 83% of students rated their experience as a 5/5 (awesome rating), while the remaining 17% rated a 4/5, reporting it was highly effective.
A sampling of participant comments included:
“Dr. Brownell always had inspiring words of wisdom to share that helps to drive me in the right direction.”
“I felt I learned a lot about myself which shows me what I need to work on.”
“This was a very good workshop. It got me thinking further of who I am and who I want to be in the future, as well as the steps to get to that point.”
“Extremely informational and thought provoking. I was really thinking in ways that I have not thought of before.”
